Meet the personality, Tushar Joshi, who lent his voice to Ranbir Kapoor in Jagga Jasoos
As per latest reports, singer Tushar Joshi portrayed the experience of bestowing his voice to ace personality Ranbir Kapoor in his movie Jagga Jasoos as “beyond price”.
In the movie, Jagga (donned by Ranbir Kapoor) resolves misdeeds, however his stammer suggests he wants to sing to express his thoughts in a smooth and diplomatic manner.
Joshi is the singing voice of Ranbir that entails when Jagga is depressing, contented or weird, Tushar, also an associate to ace music director Pritam Chakraborty, had to act with his tone.
“I joined Pritam Da’s team in August 2016 when Jagga was already underway. I was totally clueless as even the film’s production hadn’t reached the finishing stage. Initially, I just observed and then afterwards, I understood the format. When we were trying to find Ranbir’s voice, I had no idea that it’ll be me,” he shared his views with media people.
“But because I was better versed with the script, I could do it well when the time came. All my dubbing took place in the last one month,” he added up.
Joshi signalized that even though he become part of the crew a little bit late, he has given his best.
“Not just me, every member of the team has contributed their 1000 per cent. We haven’t slept properly since the last one month. We used to work so much as there was a deadline and a pressure of the release date. Matlab hum log almost zombies ho gaye the last ke dino mei. But we really enjoyed the process.”
Even though the flick is a first of its kind in the Hidi film industry, the movie saw mixed response on its first day.
While a few praised it, several people couldn’t take advantage of it.
But, Tushar accepted that even before the movie’s release, the crew dreaded a response of this kind.
“Honestly, we used to discuss this with Anurag sir. He used to admit that even he was unsure whether the audience will digest a film like this. Mazak mei bhi bolte the ki mujhe darr lag raha hai ye audience le paayegi ki nahi.”
The chase for Jagga’s accent continued for several months until Chakraborty and film director Anurag Basu got convinced that Anurag has cracked the temperament of Jagga via his tone.
