Chak De India, is of one of the best movie of last decade. The movie was all about sports, patriotism and women empowerment. Around 16 young girls debuted in Shimit Amin directed film. The splendid and acute performance by Shah rukh Khan made many people bow for his acting.The dreamof all the girls got fulfilled of working with the king of romance. The movie was a revolution in the Indian cinema, how women’s are portrayed in the films till now was not empowering. The movie completed 10 years today , Our King khan is ruling the heart till date, lets see what the girls are doing nowadays.
Sagarika Ghatge aka Preeti Sabharwal
Chak De India was debut film for this beautiful women. She never expected this opportunity to come in her way. She wanted complete her studies and go abroad for Masters education. But life took change in between and she got finalized for the film. According her she was in dramatic society in collage days, which helped her during the movie.
After Chak De India, she worked in movie named Iraada. She wants to do more meaningful movies like Iraada. Her work was appreciated by the people. She is pretty much focused on her upcoming movies.
Tanya Abrol aka Balbir
She is into industry just because of this movie. Chak de India gave her great exposure and opportunity. Tanya wanted to join civil services but the movie opportunity stopped her in the way. She got famous in the audience which inspired her to work more in the industry. Recently, She signed a serial for star plus. The shooting the serial will start in couple of days.
Vidya Malvade aka Vidya Sharma
She was the captain of the team in the movie. The movie gave her fame, many friends and relations. Even today people calls her with the name captain. She is very happy that, she got this film to do. Still she gets messages of appreciation, if someone of her known people watches the movie.In these years she did couple of short films, beside she has grabbed a big activity. She is into spiritual activity and healing practice. She teaches yoga world wide for that purpose, she is on tours to Srilanka and America.
Chitrashi Rawal aka Komal Chautala
Chak de India is the best part of her life. The movie changed her life, she got recognition and respect from people and in industry. Her role inspired many people and made many people her ,the fans are socially connected her, which makes her feel proud.
She is currently associated with comedy serial on SAB TV shankar jai kishan 3 in 1 as lead actress. In meanwhile years. she worked in couple of movies. She started doing theaters with legends Asrani, Padmini kolhapure, and Naveen Bawa. She is on tours because of these theatre shows. She has signed a film and will be signing one more film later this year.
Shilpa Shukla aka Bindiya Naik
After, acting in the movie and by the success of the movie the thinking of actress changed completely. She never planned that she will start staying in Mumbai, but she wanted to do acting. The film gave her name and fame. She started getting awards and strong praise, but this helped her bring the best out of her.
resently, I have been assisting renowned playwright and director Mahesh Dattani. I acted in a Cineplay for him called The Big Fat City. Under his guidance, I have written an adaptation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Hindi and Chattisgarhi and I also assisted him on direction in the award winning play Final Solution. When not working, I don’t stay in Mumbai and am mostly in Delhi, Himachal and Bihar.
