Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer ‘Toilet-Ek Prem Katha’ has been released in cinemas. The film is a satirical film inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’.

Story of the movie: This is a story about Keshav (Akshay Kumar) and Jaya (Bhumi Pednekar). Keshav runs a small cycle business in Mathura with his father and younger brother Naru (Divyenndu Sharma). His family is keen to get him married and, in the meantime, he incidentally meets Jaya (Bhumi Pednekar), a city topper and falls for her. Later Jaya agrees to marry him but their lives flip upside down when Jaya realises that there is no toilet in Keshav’s house and than she leaves the house. How Keshava desperately sets out on a mission to win back his love by standing up to the age-old traditions and values of India forms the crux of the story.

Star Performance: Akshay Kumar has delivered a wonderful performance, his comic timing is impeccable. While, Bhumi Pednekar has done justice to her role and her chemistry with Akki is the highlight of the film. Anupam Kher and Sana Khan have also done justice to their roles.

Music Direction: The film’s music is good and it goes along with the story. Background score is also good.

Direction: The film’s direction is good. The movie has good production values and background, picturisation and dialogues are the attractions on the technical front. The first half is a little slow and overstretched but manages to sail through till the interval because of its comic punches.

Watch Or Not: The film has brought forth the issue around the basic necessity of people. So just go and watch.
