From Riches To Rags! These Stars Died A Painful Death Due To Poverty

Bollywood is all about glamour, name, fame, money and status. If you have it, people will always be there with you, once it’s gone, people walk out of your life as if they don’t know you. We have seen many popular stars vanishing away from Bollywood, glamour and media.
The industry is too selfish to even bother about the whereabouts them who were once their co-stars. However, they are just remembered once they are dead and all one can do is just pray.
Let’s have a look at some of the famous Bollywood actors and actresses who died a painful death as poverty did not leave them till their last breath.
- Parveen Babi

The once glamorous diva was found dead in her Mumbai flat on 22nd January 2005, after her society secretary alerted everyone that she had not picked up milk and newspapers from her door for three days. She had been living alone for a long time in Mumbai. The actress went into depression and the reason of her death is not immediately known.
2. A K Hangal

A K Hangal was a popular veteran actor played the roles on the screen as father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. But he passed away at the age of 95. Having worked in many famous films A K Hangal’s last time was spent in the most trouble as he could not afford the treatment which was required to cure and his son also expressed an inability to raise funds. After hearing of his plight, Amitabh Bachchan came forward and gave him Rs. 20 Lakh for his treatment.
3. Raj Kiran

The worst case was reported in 2010 was of actor Raj Kiran. He was admitted in a mental asylum in America Atlanta from last 10 years. His near and dear ones had left him alone in his difficult time. There have even been rumours about his death, but actor Rishi Kapoor with whom he has worked in Karz searched for him, and finally located him in a badly demented state in US.
4. Meena Kumari

Meena Kumari is one of the most notable actresses of Bollywood. She went to become the Tragedy Queen of Indian cinema not only due to the roles she portrayed on screen but her personal life as well. Kumari became an alcoholic and damaged her liver. Towards the end of her life, she and Amrohi took up the stalled Pakeezah project. Despite her failing health, Meena gave the performance her all. She died all alone three weeks after the movie released with no money left to pay her hospital bills.
5. Bhagwan Dada
Bhagwan Dada found his escape in movies and dreamed of being a hero. He got a break in Bewafa Aashiq but was without work after that because people thought he was a real hunchback. Dada found success as writer, director and actor. Unfortunately, after a string of flops, he had to sell his 25-bedroom Juhu house, his fleet of 7 cars, and move to a chawl with his family. His vast circle of friends disappeared except for a few like Dilip Kumar, Sunil Dutt, Om Prakash and Johnny Lever, who continued to visit him. He died in 2002 at the age of 89, virtually forgotten.
