Bollywood Badshah Khan’s second release of the existing year, Jab Harry Met Sejal, hit the cinema halls on August 04.
The reports stated that the flick has let down trade experts at the box office. Whilst the movie was likely to register earnings of around Rs 18-20 crore, early estimations hint it has barely hit the Rs 16 crore mark.
As per reports, Jab Harry Met Sejal has raked in Rs 15.5 crore on its initial day. Koimoi, in contrast, has made collection of approximately Rs 18 crore on its first day.
The concluding facts have not turned up till now, however the estimations hint that SRK starrer may turn up to be one of the weak openers of King Khan in recent times.
The Imtiaz Ali directed movie that has Anushka Sharma in the lead role registered more than 40 per cent occupancy in the majority of urban centres during the first shows. But, with the majority of the reviews of the film being critical, they may mess up the party for the film in the coming time. It got released crosswise 3200 cinemas all over the nation.
Jab Harry Met Sejal witnessed 40-45 per cent occupancy during the first shows according to early reports. On multiplexes, the movie witnessed a 25 per cent occupancy rate.
The Imtiaz Ali movie has already made an earning of Rs 25 crore from satellite as well as distribution rights. Producted at a projected budget of around Rs 90 crore, the flick requires hitting the Rs 150-crore mark at the ticket office to be announced as a hit.
Both the actor and the director the flick need the movie to do well at the ticket booth as they have not seen victory for some time now. Whilst the actor’s last release, Raees, raked in more than Rs 133 crore, it was not as profitable as trade projected. Anushka, in contrast, is on a winning binge with her earlier flicks such as Sultan and Phillauri proving to be money-spinning for the producers.
The opening figures for preceding SRK movies remained at Rs 19.20 crores (Fan, 2016), Rs 21 crore (Dilwale, 2015) and Rs 44.97 crore (Happy New Year, 2014). Will Jab Harry Met Sejal manage to hit these numbers?
