Mukesh Ambani Becomes 2nd Richest Man In Asia Leaving Behind Hong Kong’s Businessman Li Ka-shing
Mukesh Ambani is one of the well-known and respectable businessman of our country. Mukesh has reached new heights in his career and made it big over the years. Reliance Industries is into many businesses which are doing quite well and has proved useful for the company.
RIL latest subsidiary Jio has proved quite profitable for the company after it launched the JioPhone, an advanced VoLTE feature phone that comes free of cost.
According to the Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index, Ambani’s net worth has increased to USD 34.8 billion (around Rs 2.2 lakh crore), thereby making him the 19th richest person in the world, up from 29 at the end of 2016.
However, Ambani has added another feather to his cap by becoming the second-richest man in Asia. He has overtaken a Hong Kong-based Li Ka-shing who was the second-richest person in Asia till date.
The Ambanis have also invested a lot in its refining and petrochemicals business, with about USD 18 billion worth of project investments expected to come on-stream.
Well, RIL is rising high with this achievement and it will take no time for Mukesh Ambani to be the first richest man in the world!
