Pakistan Cricket Board wants the venue of U-19 Asian cup to relocate from India.
India and Pakistan are going through a unhealthy friendly relation. Due to several issues caused on the border of the countries, has caused astringent between the two nation. India is hosting the upcoming U-19 Asia cup in the city of Bangalore. But, the PCB is not happy with venue and want it to be changed, due to security reasons. Due to the frail tie between the two countries, PCB will request ACC(Asian Cricket Association) to change the venue of the event. The board will keep this issue in the upcoming meeting of the ACC, which is held in Colombo later this week.
According to the higher official of PCB, they didn’t want the young players to go through the tension of visa approval. As in recent times many visa of sports team are rejected by the Indian embassy. According to sources,P CB is not going to bow in front of BCCI and from will take stronger steps.
Recently, BCCI took a firm decision that, they dont want to play with the champion’s trophy winning Pakistani team in the tri-nation series held in South Africa. Due to this slapping decision of BCCI, PCB has decided to change their attitude towards the board. Najam Sethi, who is set to be elected as Shaharyar’s successor tomorrow confirmed that Pakistan wanted the Under-19 Asia Cup to be shifted out of India.
The tri-nation series was going to take place between India, Australia and South Africa. But the host team invited Pakistan to replace Australia. But due to to pressure created by India, the South African board replaced Australia with Afghanistan instead of Pakistan. In the meeting Pakistan will also raise the issue of the venue of Asia cup senior tournament.
Diplomatic tensions between the two nations have prevented the neighbours from playing two-side series since 2007, apart from Pakistan’s tour to India in 2012-2013 when they played a short limited-overs series.
