Ranbir On Sanjay Dutt Biopic: We Are Not Portraying A Gandhi Like Character
Ranbir Kapoor’s career is going through a low phase since his past few releases failed to create magic at the box-office. The actor is currently shooting for Sanjay Dutt Biopic where he plays the titular role and this film can’t prove to be a turning point in his career.
Ranbir had started prepping for the film long back and is taking extra efforts to get into the skin of the character. RK’s few looks from the film are out and it looks quite impressing. The film is going to be a controversial and sensational one with Sanjay’s real life story being unfolded on silver screens.
Talking about film, in a recent interview, Ranbir called Sanju a fraud man. He said, “With the Sanjay Dutt biopic, he has been so honest about his life. We are not portraying a Gandhi like character. We’re portraying a very fraud man. He’s someone who is love and disliked. He’s the most controversial, and to have the ability to tell about your life so honestly, and to make a movie out of it is very brave.”
RK says he can’t be as honest as Sanju Baba in real life. “If I was in his position, I don’t think I could be this honest about my life and make myself look like a person who is not nice. If an audience can take something from that and learn from his life.I think it’s a very positive thing.”
The film is helmed by Rajkumar Hirani and also stars Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
The film will be hitting the theatres on 30th March 2018.
