Arpita rang in her 28th birthday on August 1, which was certainly a special day for Khan Parivar. • Born on August 1, 1989, Arpita was adopted by Salman’s parents Salim and Salma Khan. However, there are many different stories having surfaced about Arpita’s adoption.


• It is said that Arpita’s mother was a bagger and she died immediately after giving birth to Arpita. That was the time when Salim and Salwa were passing by, noticed a child near a dead body. They decided to bring that child home and make a part of their family. Today’s Arpita is the apple of eyes of the Khan family.


• Some reports also say that it was Salim’s second wife Helen, who adopted Arpita. However, there is no clarity on the matter.


• Another rare known fact is that Arpita is born with a great fashion sense. She has even graduated from the London College of Fashion.
