These Bollywood Background Dancers Earn More Than Highly Qualified Professionals
We have seen actors and actresses grooving on songs in Bollywood movies. In fact, no Bollywood movie is complete without a song, especially with lots of dancers dancing along with the stars in background. Dream dance sequences are also very common since ages in Bollywood which adds more entertainment to the films.
Initially, the makers did not invest a huge amount on background dancers but now they have started doing so with changing times. Trained background dancers are hired which perform much better than the stars in all the dance sequences which adds more glamour to the song making it appealing.
But have you ever wondered how much do these dancers get paid? Well, you will be shocked to know that they earn in lakhs. Yes, you heard it right!
High professional trained dancers make up to Rs. 1 Lakh per month. They can also charge anything between Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 90,000 per stage show and film. So, you can definitely not call them extras anymore!
Generally, the choreographers have their own dance groups who are paid per month to perform at stage shows and Bollywood songs. Even the basic dancers earns between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 35,000 depending on their level of expertise.
